Hihi! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

Michelle “Ky” Hanitijo (they/them) is a Toronto-based queer Chinese-Canadian dancer, filmmaker, and content creator. A post-production editor at heart, they shape narrative and rhythm through an interdisciplinary practice rooted in movement, dance, and direction. Moving fluidly between production and post, Ky brings both cinematic instinct and creative precision to every project.

A true multihyphenate, they blend craft, curiosity, and collaboration across screens, stages, and stories — working with recording artists, cultural institutions, and global brands both on and off camera. Their work spans productions with Adidas, Nike, Sony, Google, CBC, Canada’s Drag Race, Vice, Hennessy, Eurovision Ireland, the Museum of Toronto, and Canada’s Got Talent and more.

They're an active member and leader in Toronto’s street dance and Kiki Ballroom scene, and has been actively training in various street styles such as Punking/Whacking/Waacking, Campbellocking, Popping, Vogue, House and Hip Hop, both competitively and in the battle scene. They're currently part of Toronto’s ONLY funk-style mega crew FUNKYVERSE as a team captain as well(apparently The Team “Swiss Army Knife”😂).

Driven by community and connection, Ky is drawn to open, expansive collaborations that bring people together — introducing fresh perspectives shaped by a growing career telling stories across disciplines, mediums, and moments.

They're also known for their bubbly, bright and chaotic energy from their YouTube channel Ky27. You can find them across the internet @oneofakynd27

PS. Particularly passionate about creating music videos. Always looking for opportunities to develop their skills and gain more experience. Femme, queer and BIPOC/Asian production opportunities to the front!
